"RESTORED TO REIGN"
“Still Waters” is the result of a vision given to Cheryl Lynn Nicholson at a very low point in her life. Being born to Carrie Lujean and Wilbur Leroy Quarles on April 7, 1967 the feelings of rejection and abandonment were felt very early in childhood. Though she had 6 brothers and 5 sisters that were born to her mother, as well as other siblings from her father those feelings were still very much alive.
Growing up, Lynn experienced many dark days. Looking for the love of her father seemed to reward her with only emptiness. With the most important love of her life being absent, Lynn began to seek out love in all the wrong places.
Baring a son with the man she loved resulted in abuse and much violence. Causing the pain of rejection and abandonment to intensify. Now more than ever Lynn began to spiral down into a life lived with low self-esteem and low self-worth, while still dealing with the rejection and abandonment of her biological father.
At what seemed to be the point of “no return” Lynn began to delve into drinking and promiscuity with questions in her heart; “who am I” and “why and I here”? Nevertheless, with those pending questions there was a quiet whisper that caused Lynn to KNOW, there was so much more to the woman than what she felt and what life offered.
An interruption in the Market Place as we know to be the “place of employment” was the open door that changed Lynn’s life forever. A co-worker for months faithfully shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ which caused Lynn to surrender to the “Love” of her Heavenly Father.
On September 18, 1997 Lynn wholehearted surrendered and yielded her life to Christ. This decision brought a change of heart and her wonderful journey of healing, deliverance, and total freedom began. Her passion now is to see lives submitted to Jesus Christ and walking in total healing from past hurts and pain. To witness the lives of many fulfilling the great assignments God has given to his followers while still here on earth.
Lynn fully forgave her father and has allowed time to heal every wound. She believes forgiveness of oneself and others is the key that leads to “Total Healing” in humanity.
